Privacy Policy

Pro Waste Consultants Pty Ltd ("PWC") is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. Information We Collect

We collect: (a) Account information — name, email, company name, role; (b) Project data — site addresses, development details, bin calculations you create; (c) Uploaded documents — PDFs and plans you upload for analysis; (d) Usage data — tool usage patterns, scan frequency, and product events such as sign-ups, exports and upgrades; (e) Payment information — processed by Stripe, we do not store card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide and improve the Platform; process payments; send service communications; generate anonymised industry benchmarks; comply with legal obligations. Product events (such as account creation and tool usage) may be relayed to our customer relationship management system so we can support you and follow up on your use of the Platform. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. AI Processing — Anthropic API

When you use AI-powered features (compliance checker, plan upload), extracted text and page images from your documents are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's API operates under zero data retention — data sent via the API is not used to train AI models and is not retained after processing. Data is transmitted securely via HTTPS.

By using AI features, you confirm you are authorised to submit the relevant documents for third-party processing.

4. Data Storage

Your account data and project records are stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL database) hosted on Amazon Web Services in the ap-southeast-2 (Sydney) region. Data is stored on Australian soil. Supabase operates under SOC 2 Type II certification.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services: Supabase (database and authentication, Sydney); Stripe (payment processing, subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy); Anthropic (AI processing, zero data retention API); GitHub Pages (platform hosting).

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for the duration of your subscription plus 12 months. Project data is retained for 24 months after last access. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing lachy@prowaste.au.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to: access your personal information; correct inaccurate information; request deletion of your information; opt out of marketing communications; make a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

8. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data including: encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS); row-level database security; secure authentication via Supabase Auth; payment processing via PCI-DSS compliant Stripe.
